    JOB GOAL: 

     

    Responsible for providing a high quality education in a technology-based education system, ensuring that each student has the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the future.

     

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     
    1. Valid State of Arizona Teaching Certification
    2. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
    3. Proficient in Google and Microsoft
    4. Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
    5. Knowledge of instructional technology and the ability to integrate tech into the curriculum
     

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 218 days; 11 months

     

    COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position

     

    BENEFITS: As per QCUSD District policy

     

    REPORTS TO: Director of Educational Technology and Virtual Learning

     

    HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours - Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.

     

    CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

     

     

     

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

     

    Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

     
    1. Support students and parents with the set-up and maintenance of their learning environment including basic computer troubleshooting

    2. Orient students to the program, their coursework, and communicate course and school requirements 

    3. Plan and implement a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district curriculum

    4. Use effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives

    5. Manage student caseloads as assigned by the District

    6. Monitor and assess student progress in order to provide feedback on a regular basis to students and their parents

    7. Diagnose, instruct and evaluate specific student needs and seek assistance of district specialists as required

    8. Help students learn self-regulation skills by modeling to the students how to review progress using their Course Report/Attendance log

    9. Proctor all tests and cumulative exams

    10. Make phone calls to parents and students to build support for helping the student be successful

    11. Interact with the students via small groups/whole class/one-on-one for multiple content/grade levels virtually and/or  in-person

    12. Augment course content in the form of remediation, modification, and enrichment

    13. Enter grades into Student Information System in a timely manner

    14. Communicate regularly with parents, school administrators, and virtual students

    15. Provide support and feedback via Google Meets, phone, e-mail, and virtual lab/office hours

    16. Conduct tutoring sessions and additional instruction for lessons as needed

    17. Track and verify that attendance hours are being logged and correlate with the number of lessons completed

    18. Conduct scheduled conferences with parents/guardians to assess each student’s progress, learning style, and any other academic, social or developmental issues

    19. Study student data and build a plan for each student’s success

    20. Document all conferences and necessary information in a timely manner

    21. Provide corrective feedback on student work samples

    22. Participate on IEP teams for students with special needs and implement and monitor IEP goal progress

    23. Other duties as assigned

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

     

    This position requires the instructor to work on-site eight hours daily.
