The Product Owner is responsible for overseeing small projects to medium projects or phases of larger projects. Responsible for coordinating activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of the project. Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Communicate project status to management and business stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between IT departments and business stakeholders
  • Host cross- team meetings and drive task completions related to the project.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems or Information Technology
  • 2+ Years' Experience in Experience managing technology & operational projects
  • Experience with Google Docs, MS office, Project Management Software (e.g. Daptiv, Workday, MS Project)
  • Excellent communication skills, and comfort in facilitating technical discussions in team meetings
  • Ability to follow processes, work effectively on a team, and maintain a positive attitude


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce Agentforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ
  • Experience managing software development projects
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum )
  • Experience working in the Higher Education industry
  • Experience with Online Learning Management Systems
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends as necessary

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades. This position is Salary Grade B: $64,000 - $202,600. Actual compensation for this role is determined by several factors including but not limited to job level, candidate's skills, experience, and education, among other factors determined by the business.
