Position Summary: Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to be productive members of society. Ensure opportunities for students to attain information, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for a smooth transition from grade to grade, school to school and ultimately school to life. A virtual teacher must be accessible to students via email, phone, or GoogleMeets. The virtual teacher will monitor and track individual student progress, engagement, and achievement and provide direction as needed.
Qualifications:
The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to some of the listed qualifications.

• External: Parents, community agencies.

Working Conditions:
Typical working conditions are a climate-controlled environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gasses is very limited. Noise level is usually moderate as in a normal office environment, and does include sounds of a school hallway, cafeteria/playground environment. No environmental hazards are encountered in the normal performance of duties.
Physical Demands:
Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. Work may require occasional pushing, pulling or carrying up to 50 pounds. Work involves frequent standing, walking and sitting.
