Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Leadership & Coaching Consultant to join our consultant network. This role focuses on coaching and developing teachers and school leaders, conducting performance observations, and supporting leadership teams in building capacity for sustained improvement. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in instructional leadership, data-informed coaching, and equity-centered practice, with the ability to balance assessment and growth-oriented development. This role will provide evaluation, feedback, and development support for educators and school leaders. The consultant will design and deliver assessment processes, conduct classroom and leadership observations, and coach individuals to strengthen instructional and leadership practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and leadership observations using research-based instructional and leadership frameworks (e.g., Danielson, Marzano, TNTP).
- Provide actionable, data-driven feedback through structured coaching cycles with teachers and leaders.
- Design and deliver professional development and leadership development programs, including new leader onboarding, director readiness pipelines, and executive coaching.
- Facilitate leadership team capacity-building sessions, ensuring alignment of goals, roles, and performance management systems.
- Support schools in implementing educator and leader evaluation systems that emphasize both accountability and growth.
- Apply Strongerβs equity-centered lens to coaching and assessment, ensuring practices are culturally responsive and inclusive.
- Partner with clients to develop sustainability plans for leadership pipelines and professional learning communities (PLCs).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in education leadership, instructional coaching, or talent development.
- Deep knowledge of instructional frameworks, teacher evaluation systems, and leadership competencies.
- Proven ability to coach educators and leaders in both charter and public school settings.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and culturally responsive practices.
- Expertise in conducting instructional and leadership observations, evaluations, and coaching using validated frameworks.
- Proven ability to analyze performance and assessment data and translate insights into actionable coaching strategies.
- Experience working in charter school contexts and/or multi-school networks strongly preferred.
- Skilled facilitator of professional learning for individuals, small groups, and leadership teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships.
Compensation
$45 - $85 / hr depending on experience
This is a contract-based, project-dependent role. Consultants will be engaged as independent contractors and will only be offered assignments and compensated when client work is available. Stronger Consulting is building a pool of consultants to draw from as we expand our client partnerships.
