Job Description
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Contractor is a state-certified support professional responsible for treating students experiencing communication problems that affect classroom activities, social interaction, literacy and learning. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Contractor will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Contractor will focus on students’ individual needs as defined by each student’s Individualized Education Program. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Contractor may be asked to obtain licensure in multiple states and serve students across multiple schools.
This is an Independent Consultant position (1099).

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Certificates and Licenses: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Active speech-language pathology assistant license issued by the state department of education and/or state board and Associates Degree in Speech Communication or related field; and two (2) years of speech/language work experience within a public-school setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
preferred QUALIFICATIONS:
· Online therapy experience
· Experience with documentation for purposes of Medicaid claiming
· Active American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate (ASHA C-SLPA)
· Experience working with students who require alternative and augmentative communication
