This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Arizona Autism Charter Schools. We are currently looking for a Special Education Teacher (K-5) in Phoenix, Arizona.

This role provides an exciting opportunity for a dedicated special education professional to make a meaningful impact on students with autism and related disorders in a remote learning environment. You will manage a caseload of students, design and deliver individualized instruction, and support students in achieving their IEP goals. Working closely with a collaborative team, you will plan lessons, monitor progress, and adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs. The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, ongoing communication with students and families, and continuous professional development. This position combines the flexibility of remote work with the support of a dynamic, mission-driven educational team.

Accountabilities

  • Manage a caseload of students in the online learning environment and provide instructional support tailored to each learner.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans and modify instructional materials as needed to meet IEP goals.
  • Analyze curriculum data regularly to make informed instructional decisions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in student meetings.
  • Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Plan and implement structured teaching strategies, organize classroom activities, and provide feedback to support staff.
  • Celebrate student achievements and contribute to a positive, inclusive online learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and stay updated on best practices in special education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the educational mission and student success.
  • Must be an Arizona resident.
  • Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Experience managing a caseload of students and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Training or experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and ongoing development in special education strategies.
