Residency Requirements: Florida

This is a temporary, contract position that will pay $18.00 per hour.

The Phone Receptionist provides operational support by serving as the primary point of contact for incoming calls to Digital Academy of Florida. This role ensures timely and accurate routing of inquiries, delivers exceptional customer support to families and vendors, and collaborates with internal teams to resolve issues. The position also maintains communication logs, supports schoolwide messaging, and contributes to operational efficiency through accurate documentation and reporting.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Answer DAOF main phone and manage incoming calls professionally.
  • Provide customer support to families, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Route issues to appropriate personnel (national, registrar, admin, etc.).
  • Collaborate with IT for tech support, computer issues, and shipping needs for students/families.
  • Attend all Operations meetings and provide input as needed
  • Communicate trending call data to Operations leadership for escalation.
  • Execute robo calls and maintain documentation for schoolwide messaging.
  • Access all systems to log contacts and follow up with email documentation.
  • Update tracking systems for phone logs and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate AND
  • One (1) years of experience in customer service or administrative support OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent time-management skills, strong organizational ability, and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of timely and accurate task completion.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to varied, fast-changing systems
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Ability to clear required background check.
