This role combines technical expertise and creative instructional design to deliver high-quality online learning experiences. The LMS Administrator and Instructional Designer will manage and troubleshoot the organization’s learning management system, ensuring smooth operations for learners. In collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders, this position will design, develop, and curate engaging online courses, with a focus on professional development, software proficiency, and skills-based training. The role requires balancing technical administration with the creation of visually compelling learning objects and courses, including graphics, simulations, and interactive content. This position offers the opportunity to influence the learning experience for employees while applying modern learning technologies and instructional design principles in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and maintain LMS operations, addressing technical issues and troubleshooting learner problems.
  • Analyze audience needs to design appropriate learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with advisory groups, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to create online learning content.
  • Design and develop visually compelling and engaging online courses, incorporating text, graphics, interactions, and simulations.
  • Update and maintain learning objects and course materials as required.
  • Select appropriate learning objects and delivery platforms based on training objectives.
  • Support end-to-end learning design and deployment processes, ensuring high-quality learner experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Media, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years instructional design experience with proficiency in Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  • LMS administration experience with demonstrated troubleshooting and system management skills.
  • Experience with graphics, video-editing, and screen-casting tools; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and Power BI preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver high-quality online learning solutions.

  • Annual salary range: $78,000 – $85,000 based on experience.
