UMass Global full-time faculty are responsible for teaching (including course development), mentoring, and contributing to university service. While research activities are supported, they are not mandatory. Faculty positions are non-tenure track, with most hires starting at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are seeking an innovative and dedicated full-time faculty member to join our School of Education faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PK-12 special education, experience with online teaching, and a commitment to fostering student success. This position encompasses teaching, course development, mentoring, and service to the department and institution.
This non-tenure 12-month position includes shared responsibilities for teaching, course development, mentoring students, and contributing to the service and advancement of the Special Education program. The role requires a collaborative, innovative approach to delivering high-quality, fully online education while supporting student success and fostering program growth. Location of residence may be anywhere in the United States. 12-month faculty position accrues vacation at a bi-weekly rate of 6.15 hours.

Teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Special Education in a fully online format.

The posted typical starting UMass Global academic salary range establishes the minimum pay based on rank at the time of appointment. This ensures that all compensation decisions align with competitive market conditions and the individual's qualifications.
