Location: 100% Remote (US) | Appointment: Full-Time, 12-Month, Non-Tenure Track

Are you passionate about expanding access to higher education and shaping the future of Teacher Education in the single subject credential discipline. The School of Education at the University of Massachusetts Global is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven faculty member to join our fully remote academic community starting August 1, 2026. This full-time appointment is anticipated at the Assistant Professor level, with consideration for Associate Professor based on experience.

Required qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Education, with an emphasis in Teaching, or other closely related field
  • A valid California credential in a single subject area.
  • Knowledge of and experience with CTC standards and accreditation.
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated success teaching in an online asynchronous learning environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering current, market-relevant, and engaging curriculum, assessments, and learning activities in an online-first LMS.
  • Experience applying data-informed approaches to enhance student success and retention.
  • Ability to engage collegially and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and professionals across disciplines.
  • Committed to cultivating a workplace culture grounded in respect, openness, and constructive dialogue.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Involvement in related professional and academic associations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, support, and train adjuncts in an online environment.

Responsibilities for this position:

  • Develop, maintain, monitor, and teach online courses in the Master of Education and Teaching programs.
  • Mentor students, adjunct faculty, staff, and other program stakeholders.
  • Participate in service to the discipline and the institution, both internally and externally.
  • Model professional and collegial behavior that cultivates mutual respect, trust, transparent communication, and appropriate confidentiality with faculty peers, staff, and university leadership.
  • Other projects as agreed with and assigned by the Dean.

The hiring range for this position is $81,345-$88,522 annually. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
