Full-Time Assistant/Associate Professor – Business and Data Analytics (Remote)

UMass Global is seeking a dynamic, full-time faculty member to join the School of Business and Professional Studies as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Business and Data Analytics. This is a 12-month position.

UMass Global’s full-time faculty responsibilities include content development, teaching, student mentoring, and institutional service. While research activities are supported, they are not required. All positions are non-tenure track and are typically hired at the rank of Assistant Professor; higher rank may be considered based on qualifications. Position Overview

The faculty role includes designing and managing courses within the Business and Data Analytics portfolio, teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses, mentoring students, and adjunct faculty members, and advancing the school’s portfolio-related strategic goals in collaboration with the Dean.

Requirements for the positions are:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in Business or Data Analytics or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum two years of exemplary online teaching experience in higher education
  • Minimum two years of experience in online course development and program management
  • Experience working effectively with nontraditional adult learners
  • Familiarity with current trends, best practices, and innovative practices in teaching adult learners within the discipline area
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development in the discipline area
  • Commitment to uphold institutional policies and guidelines regarding academic integrity, student support, and assessment processes

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Terminal degree from an accredited university in Business or Data Analytics or a closely related discipline
  • Business and/or Data Analytics experience, preferably in industry, within a managerial or strategic capacity
  • Proficiency with standard analytics stacks, databases, versioning, dashboarding, and advanced Excel, Python, and/or R
  • Experience in course development and management of both traditional and competency-based models

Full Time Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Manage and teach courses in the Business and Data Analytics portfolio, as well as other selected business courses
  • Promote student success through program innovation
  • Mentor and advise students to support academic and professional success
  • Collaborate with faculty to maintain program quality and relevance
  • Engage in institutional and school-specific service activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

The hiring range for this position is $89,590 - $105,400 annually. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
