DoD SkillBridge - Cyber Security Analyst Intern

This internship offers active-duty U.S. Military members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity while participating in the DoD SkillBridge Program. Interns will develop practical skills in threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and cyber defense operations within a structured, remote learning environment. The program is designed to prepare participants for a transition into full-time cybersecurity roles, providing exposure to industry-standard tools, technologies, and certifications. You will work on real-world scenarios, collaborate with experienced analysts, and build technical expertise that positions you for a career in cyber defense. This role combines mentorship, structured learning, and practical application in a mission-critical context.

·         Monitor and analyze cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging security risks impacting DoD networks.

·         Participate in hands-on cyber security exercises, simulations, and operational scenarios.

·         Support incident response and mitigation activities under the guidance of senior analysts.

·         Maintain awareness of intelligence community reporting and open-source threat data.

·         Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to document findings, recommendations, and mitigation steps.

·         Prepare for transition into full-time cybersecurity roles through SkillBridge training and project assignments.

·         Active-duty U.S. Military member eligible to enroll in the DoD SkillBridge Program (30–180 days).

·         2–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or intelligence-related roles.

·         Willingness to participate in remote instructor-led or self-guided virtual classroom training.

·         Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

·         Comfort with relocating or working at Ft. Meade, MD for post-SkillBridge employment.

·         Strong interest in earning technical certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, CySA+, Splunk, or CCNA.

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·         Ability to work in a structured, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment.

·         Hands-on cybersecurity training and mentorship.
