The Advanced Associate, Bid Management is an early-career role that supports development of high-quality, deadline-driven proposal content in a fast-paced environment.

Bid Management sits within Revenue Operations (RevOps) at Pearson and supports commercial and government bids across a wide range of geographies, markets, and solutions. The team partners closely with business development and subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver compliant, compelling proposals on deadline.

Working closely with the Team Manager, Bid Management and Bid Management Specialists, the Advanced Associate will support proposal development through writing, editing, and proofreading; organization and planning; and bid coordination. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple deadlines, produce polished documents, and maintain content accuracy.

Work Location

This is a remote role with occasional travel to our Hoboken office, typically up to four times per year. Required work-related travel expenses are covered using a company-provided card.

Responsibilities

40% Proposal Production

  • Support the Bid Management team in meeting tight deadlines by coordinating multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Create proposal covers using established templates and manage the cover image library.
  • Obtain appendix materials from SMEs, such as sample reports.
  • Modify standard appendices and create customized appendices as needed.
  • Assemble electronic appendices and make sure documents align with corporate standards (95% of bids).
  • Support occasional hard-copy proposal production, including printing, collating, and preparing tabs (5% of bids).
  • Create proposal graphics using established tools and templates.

40%β€―Content Library Support

  • Write and edit key staff resumes and bios.
  • Write and edit client profiles.
  • Write and edit boilerplate content in accordance with SME guidance and feedback.
  • Manage related files and content using Microsoft 365 tools.

20% Bid Administration and Research Support

  • Submit FOIA requests for competitor bids and related evaluation materials.β€―
  • Monitor state procurement sites for RFP opportunities.
  • Provide additional bid-related administrative support as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a corporate or professional environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Microsoft Word.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and/or Lucidchart is a plus.
  • Location in the Northeast U.S. is a plus due to the occasional hard-copy proposal production work in Hoboken.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $45- 55,000
