The Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support to the School of Education, including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, gathering information, and assisting with reports. Also supports social media management and helps create basic digital content such as graphics, newsletters, and website update​.

This opportunity is a temporary position.
This position is Part-time Monday -Friday with an average of 20 hours a week.
Hours can be semi-flexible.

Remote from Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.


NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, work hours are based on Pacific Time (PST).

The hiring range for this position is $17.00 - $21.50 per hour. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: geographical location, knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.

Receive close supervision from ​Director, Clinical Services​.

  • Close Supervision — indicates that the incumbent is assigned duties according to specific procedures. Work is checked frequently, and in addition there may be formal training.​

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides assistance for department programs, processes, and functions
  • Performs data entry, information gathering, and maintains spreadsheets or databases from various systems (e.g., student information systems, placement platforms)
  • Compiles simple reports and data summaries to inform program planning and decision-making
  • Assists in preparing digital materials such as presentations, newsletters, website updates, or basic social media content
  • Coordinates content scheduling and updates across digital platforms to promote department activities and communications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:

  • At least 2 years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and work experience.
  • Experience using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or other data management platforms to organize and summarize information.
  • Familiarity with maintaining or contributing to organizational social media accounts is a plus.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • ​​Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • ​Experienced in using productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, or Google Workspace to support clear, respectful, and engaging communication
  • ​Ability to learn and leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar) to improve productivity, streamline communication, draft content, summarize information, and support day-to-day administrative tasks
  • ​​Knowledge of academic processes in college/university setting
  • ​​Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ​​Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ​​Ability to work effectively and independently within a collaborative remote work environment
  • ​Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform them in a timely and efficient manner

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position may be required to work flexible hours particularly given the need to support students’ or stakeholders’ extended hours of operation and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Applicants for this position are subject to a background check and a criminal history review.
