With our virtual tutors, curriculum integrations, and the Littera Tutoring Management System, schools can provide individualized support to every student who needs it.

What's in it for you: 

As a Part-time Tutor at Littera Education, you will have the opportunity to empower students throughout the United States  and make a positive impact on their learning journey. This role may be ideal for you if you want to earn supplemental income with a flexible schedule while working from home.  While there is no guarantee of a fixed number of hours per week, the more consistent hours you have on your schedule, the more sessions you can book!

  • 100% Remote US-Based. Preference is given to those available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 2 pm - 5 pm PT. However, you can choose your schedule between Monday and Friday, 8 am - 5 pm EST, but we require weekly consistency. We have substitutes available if needed.
  • Compensation: This is a W-2 position and pays Bi-Weekly! Tutors earn $18 per hour for English/ELL/Reading and Math sessions. Optional: Tutors who successfully complete an algebra assessment can tutor a high school  Algebra I series for $22 per hour. 
  • Paid Training. You will receive paid training and ongoing support from a manager and team members to ensure success from day one! 
  • Paid Administrative Time. Up to 15 minutes of paid administrative time to each hour of lessons to compensate you for your work outside of lessons.
  • Lesson Plans Created for You! The curriculum is already provided, so no lesson planning is required!
  • Small Group Sessions. Students are virtually in a 1:1-1:3 setting using our Littera Virtual 
  • Paid Background Check & Fingerprinting. Tutors may be invited to complete fingerprinting steps so that they are eligible for school districts that mandate fingerprinting. Although fingerprinting is not mandatory, opting for it allows for more sessions.  Tutors who are fingerprinted will be able to start tutoring sooner. Littera covers the cost of tutor background checks and fingerprinting.It's important to know that previous fingerprinting is not transferable. 
  • Tutoring sessions are set to begin August 2024

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

Availability: Consistent availability is required, with a minimum of four days per week (Monday to Friday) and a set schedule of availability at the same times each day. Essential equipment: Desktop/Laptop (Chrome browser) with reliable high-speed internet connection, headset with a microphone, and a quiet tutoring space.  Relevant experience empowering K12 school-aged learners. Proficiency in using online virtual tools and technology. Tutors must be located in the US for all tutoring sessions, as sessions are taught within the US!
